Governments are backing off so the protests remain "non-violent." Better the OWS Protesters set up little Hovervilles than break windows and burn vehicles. Now, that is a real riot and can lead to open revolt.

The politicians are trying to buy time but time has long run out -- people have already taken to the streets ...

The Bank of America has rescinded their plan for a $5/mo debit card fee for some accounts but if they think that by not invoking some insulting fee in response to legislation regulating their abusive practices is going to change the trends of late -- BofA is living in lala land ... The other banks were just not stupid enough to follow their lead seeing the opening for some commercial advantage -- proof that the banks can readily absorb the loss of transaction revenue ...
