Btw, I grew up in the Detroit area. Most of my family lives in the Detroit area.
Lets see.... My Stepfathers mother was stabbed in the eye with a screwdriver while taking money out of an atm.
My cousin was shot and killed at a house party.
My sisters friend was raped and murdered by a crackhead.
My brother was beaten and mugged after parking his car and walking to a Lions game.
I was mugged twice in my lifetime living in that area.
Growing up, our house was broken into and vandalized on several occasions.
My car had 3 stereos stolen, one time they took the entire speaker installations out.
Just recently, I was loading my luggage from a downtown hotel and the shuttle bus driver pulls up behind me and honks his horn for me to move. I didn't move fast enough so he gets out of his shuttle bus and chases me out of the parking lot with a bat. And this guy was employed by the hotel. LOL.
