In the article it says it's going to make money because they'll be able to sell access to the high precision location data. Good luck with that, considering we're getting GPS for free.
And as for kicking US butts. Bullshit. GPS is here now and working just fine, Gallileo is late and still years away, massively over budget and for non military uses at least, duplicating something that already exists. Thats the kind of sucess I'm sick of paying for.
One thing that annoys the hell out of me is anyone taking the time to tell me from the outside what a wonderful thing the EU is, despite not having the faintest clue what it is, which countries are in it or why it's completely and utterly undemocratic.
