The Nobel Comittee is a Swedish organization, headquartered in Stockholm. They elect and award the following prizes:
Physics
Chemistry
Medicine
Literature
Those prices are all awarded from the hand of His Majesty, Carl Gustaf XVI, King of Sweden, in Stockholm, in December each year, followed by a big banquet with around 1300 sitting guest in the Stockholm City Hall. The dinner is televised world wide and is on of the largest, scheduled tuxedo dinners in the world.
The the Norwegian sub-section, award the Nobel Peace price and hold a separate award ceremony in Olso, Norway. The Norwegian Nobel committee is unfortunately elected by the Norwegian "congress", which makes the committee populated with politicians and thus makes a few of their choices for prize recipients somewhat political. This has led to many questions of how honorful the peace price really is.
Above those prices, the Swedish Federal Reserve Bank, in honoring it's 300 years of operations, decided to each year award a price in economics, "in memory of Mr. Alfred Nobel". The Swedish Federal Reserve has promised to match the sum of the other Nobel Prices each year and the price is awarded in Stockholm at the same ceremony as the other Stockholm prices.
