Because it
does have a lot more features than ConMan. You aren't just getting a paysite manager - you're getting site generation software for any type of site you produce (TGP galleries, AVS, free sites), and lets you build your own pic (or gallery) of the day.
And I think that my working for them is pretty important :D - but you are right, it wasn't a very thoughtful response.
