I don't see the rip off thing. Card holders could have cancelled their subscription. But some are just lazy and stupid. I have members with 3 accounts at the same time and that can go on for years and will only stop when the credit card expires
I've been subscribed to non-updating sites for a year too, and I only blamed myself for that and didn't feel like being ripped off. Ripping off IMO would be continue charging the cards after subscription has been cancelled.
