Years ago - before Youtube - we stopped by a jam session at The Boy and the Dolphin in Scarborough on our way home from a gig. My friend Cozy is playing drums.
At the end of the night, ol' Coz stands on his stool and goes to do a flip over his kit. Well, there was a low-hanging, solid metal, typical cheap red bar issue ceiling fan in the way.
It didn't just knock him out - it ripped a huge chunk of his scalp off.
After he recoverd, we're playing up on Lake Simcoe (forget the name of the place). Relaxing upstairs between sets, Cozy leans against a railing and it gives out, dropping him about twelve feet to the floor below. Luckily, he just got a shattered wrist from that incident.
Alcohol was a common factor in each of these accidents.
