What can't be done? The advantage of using Wordpress is that you give the client/customer an easy to use content management system and they don't have to rely on you as much.
Wordpress sites no longer look like Wordpress sites. I (and anyone else with the most rudimentary PHP and HTML knowledge) can break down any design into a functional Wordpress template in an hour or two.
I've done a few schools and a couple of local businesses. I see doing things for others as more of an inconvenience than anything else. Got the gigs through word of mouth. 5k was the highest I've charged so far. Maybe I should up my rates.
A lot of developers out there are making money by reselling cheap or free templates with a few modifications. Those guys tick me off. But I'm not going to hate.
