That always seems to be the case. The Google trip said they make changes and adjustments about 500 times per year. Those changes are basically designed to stay ahead of the ninja SEO people and return URLs of GOOD web sites instead of pages from master manipulators of the algorithms. So if you take precise aim at one specific configuration of today's Google, don't be suprised if it doesn't precisely match tomorrow. Instead, for long term profit bulks good sites first, with text about a topic, then secondly make sure that a SE can see how good your page is. That's the long term view. It'll get you medium to excellent rankings that persist through tweaks that Google makes.

That doesn't mean you can't work your ass off to get a #1 ranking for "free porn", it just means you shouldn't be suprised if you jace tobkeep working your ass off, constantly adapting, to keep that coveted spot. You can do that and make good money. I prefer to build good pages that get rankings which are merely good, but remain good.
