Im not a pay site owner. There are a lot of things to do online other than traditional affiliate / traditional pay site owner.
Like I said in my post. If anyone thinks they can get there by being a traditional affiliate alone, they won't find it easy...dam near impossible. So in that sense I agree with you. I spoke of NOT following that path, of spreading out and getting involved in many different businesses, streams of income. Adult, mainstream, email, data collection, content, domains and on and on. There are affiliates I know very well that do many hundreds of joins a day with very little traffic cost, but like you said, they are few and far between.
And as far as kissing my ass? I think people like to hear that it IS possible to make money once and awhile. Its not a lie, its there for the taking. Most people don't have the skill set to do it. Just the way it is. I'd guess 5% of the affiliates in adult make 95% of the money. Thats from experience, not a guess .
truth is..... Tubes or no tubes, cross sells or not, mainstream or adult.....no matter WHAT is going on online there is a fortune being made every day. Anyone can make money when the stock market goes up 300 pts a day. People who know HOW to make money make it no matter what the conditions are around them. If someone has a very small limited skill set they are stuck riding with the tide.
