Basic labor or not, that's the jobs they do thus the jobs Americans would replace. The problem with that is, 5 illegals does not mean 5 american jobs... with extra labor costs, taxes, it's more like 1 american replaces 5-10 illegals, just not labor wise. You just aren't going to get Americans to work farms for $20 a day in 110 degree heat for 12 hour days, for 3 months straight. And we all like our food costs being as low as they are.... so hiring Americans, would not only bankrupt the farm, it would bankrupt most Americans too.
I once cared about Illegals... when I thought they cost us money, but now I understand that's complete bullshit, that even sales taxes alone puts people on a net positive for services, that's before the increase in corp growth/taxes, due to the extra low cost labor.
In short.... they aren't the problem, never have been, never will be, and removing 100% of them will solve no problems, what so ever.
