Which State?
Food stamps are fed controlled, and are monitored by the State, a single fed bank handles all the food stamp money. Every state has extended them, the fed forced it, it's not state money so they have no control over it. From what I understand it's all based on income, not a job... you can have income coming in from your parents, enough to cover bills, etc... but not enough to cover the entire food cost, so you get some help - no job required, as you have an income.
