Speaking as a noob
I didn't have any expectations of making a living off of adult when I started about six months ago but I think it's still viable as a means of making a bit of side income. Sales are indeed few and far in between but I have made enough to cover my hosting costs and what I spent on scripts, etc so it's all gravy from here on out.
