Stay away from steroids, especially when you're a beginner. Just eat alot of proteins (milk, cheese, eggs), they are required as energy for your muscles. Buy some creatine pills (it's a natural product which your body also creates by itself), creatine helps your muscles to recover faster after a workout, meaning you can work out more.
