thousands of people probably read this bill, gave advice, and it still passed. it looks to me more like a debt panic. "expats aren't paying taxes; expats dont live here; lets squeeze some money out of expats to pay for this huge debt we created, even tho the expats didn't cause the debt or take advantage of any services of the US govt." - typical logic in DC.
i dont mind if non-US banks stop allowing me to open accounts so long as my wires can still reach my wife's account. she takes all my money anyway lol
