You could check bidvertiser, but really there is no good competition to adsense when you are looking for content ads..
But you could go a different root and use your content to make subscriber lists and then sell actual or affiliate products to them through emails, selling advertising space in newsletters, finding niche advertisers for your banner space on your websites...
There are many ways to go around adsense ;)
