How much do you think one floor weights? Was there natural gas in the building?
When a building is being demolished, door and windows are removed or opened as to let the pressure out. I would think a fllor or 2 pancaking to the next level would sound like a bomb going off. Hell, just the trash truck outside the office putting the empty dumpster back down sounds like a bomb going off. Trains hooking up at 4am, I think there was a car bomb..
Flashes of Lights in the windows, yep I would expect that since the electricity was still on..
