No idea why these guys who never miss a chance to tell me what they think of me from the safety of their spare rooms, wouldn't come over to tell me face to face.
for this meeting, I flew from Czech to England to sit and drink with guys I knew would never buy content, stay 2 nights in the hotel and it would be a small meet. A lot of the UK based guys couldn't make it and some like the guy Geezer who is for ever calling me a cunt and telling me to die on boards. Came with others in a car and left very soon afterwards. I suspect because the free food on the buffet had run out.
Then this great myth developed that I dropped a wine bottle when I saw him. Truth is when I saw him it was because the part owner of the Lady Sonia site pointed him out to me and I was drinking wine at the time and shocked at his size. He was morbidly obese at the time. Was a shock to see him as I had this vision of a guy who could back up his words. Not one who could hardly walk across the room.
But it's a better story about me shitting my pants, dropping and wine bottle and being terrified.
Would be nice to meet and sit down and explain my feelings and thought about online porn. It boils down to we focused far too much on the number of surfers, gave away far too much free porn, built members areas that were not good enough and losing 99 possible sales in 100 is not good. Losing 999 in 1,000 is terrible. Today if we could convert 1-1,000 of all the people looking at online porn we would all be far richer.
Is the future, getting 1-500 to go to 2-1,000 or getting 2-500? I feel today it's easier to convert a fraction more of the traffic you have and to keep members buying. Than building free traffic to get sign ups and the keep the same membership size.
We need to think beyond where we do today. Adapt or die, means more than putting up a Tube site.
