This would mean that the government or icann has to reimburse us the value of the taken property. They will never do this! It would be lawsuit city...
So although I understand this might be his agenda, I do not see it happening. It is lovely to see though that he somewhat admits in the ads that it seems to be his agenda, although he will obviously claim this is not the purpose of those ads.

I don't think it will happen, but I would never say it's impossible. It really depends on who is in office and what their agenda is. And it really wouldn't have anything to do with ICANN but the laws of the country you live in. For example, if the US decided that it was only legal to have porn on a .xxx domain then you could still buy a .com from ICANN and put porn on it, but if the govt caught you, then you would be fined, arrested or whatever their penalties were.
Also, you can't sue the govt so there would be no lawsuits and the govt wouldn't be taking your property. You could still keep your .com domain, you just couldn't show nudity on it.
