I was going to continue on with the stereotypical sarcasm with a Michael Jackson video but - no matter what MJ performance I watch - I have to admit that the man had more talent in his discarded toenail clippings than everyone I've ever met in my life - combined.

Maybe he was a fucked up, but what MJ flushed down the toilet the day before he died contained more imagination and creativity than the collected opinions of every member of GFY over the last 12 years. Discard him and disparage him all you want - Michael Jackson was - arguably - the most brilliantly talented musician in the history of the world.

I'll include Beethoven, Bach, Paganini, Buddy Holly, The Beatles, Django Reinhardt, and the artist who may or may not currently be known as "Prince" into the equation.

Michael Jackson - and I'm not even a huge fan (more of a jealous onlooker) - is the single most brilliant musician in the history of the world.

A stupid Pepsi commercial from when Michael was still black. Its sad when a commercial displays more joie de vivre than any music video I've been subjected to over the last 20 years.
