Okay to begin, Ruth has been very helpful and nice to me, no complaints with her. I'm sure she'll tell you I've been the same.
My issue is this
March 28th, check issued, never received
May 25th, check re-issued, never received
August 15th, check re-issued, never received
Now I understand this last check was only issued ~17 days ago, however according to your policies, you mail checks 3-4 days after issue, so that would be August 19th at the latest, a friday. You are a Canadian company, I live in Canada. Canada Post has a policy of trying to deliver all mail within 5 days, and this has largely been my experience. So if you sent me mail on the 19th, even if they didn't process it until the Monday, tomorrow will be 2 full business weeks, and it's still not here.
Here is a letter I just received from Ottawa. It was printed on August 29th, and arrived here on August 31st in the morning, so it took 2-3 days.
Now I'd normally be much more patient than this, as you can see from my last waits. However this is the THIRD time, and I'm going on a month long vacation out of the country in about 2 weeks time. This is a fair sized check to me, and I'd like to have the money before I go. Even more, I want to stop thinking about this.
The first two checks *never came*. They weren't just delayed, they were lost. Both times you had no problems re-issuing checks, so it's not like someone was cashing them fraudulently, they're just lost.
Now... What are the chances that Canada Post is losing the same piece of mail THREE times between Quebec and Ontario? The probability on that has to be incredibly, incredibly low. In 10+ years, I have never once had to call CCBill to re-issue any of the 4 checks they send to me every single month. 10 years, ~48 checks a year, 480 for 480 - From Arizona no less.
You guys are 0/3 from WITHIN Canada!!!
The first two times I could plausibly blame Canada Post. They had their strike, but mail still got delivered when it ended. I could slightly blame my address on the first one (I moved down the hall, same floor, same building, and I have friends who live in my old unit, who hand deliver any mail that still gets sent there though....).
But now I'm starting to think you're not sending me anything, or you have a problem with your check issuing process.
So far the blame has been passed on to the "system" and I haven't heard if you've had any of the checks returned to you, or any plausible explanation of what's happening to go by.
Before I requested the last check, I sent an e-mail to Ruth asking if I should ask for another check through their system like normal, or if they wanted to handle it specially some other way. I was hoping someone would visually ensure my letter was falling into a mailbox. I was told to do it like normal, and here we are again.
Who is the person at Paxum who is responsible for mailing the checks? If you're SURE you've sent them, have you tried calling Canada Post?
I like using Paxum, I like that you're Canadian, and I understand you're new and it will take time for things to get sorted. But you're also holding my money, and so I have to expect a minimum level of service from you.
So please Ruth, what are you going to do for me this time? I think I leave on Sept 13th for a month. Can you get me this money before then? If you just "send it to accounting" it's not going to get done on time.
I don't want to get a Mastercard, and I shouldn't have to. You have a check delivery service that appeals to me and I want to use it! I live in the biggest city in Canada, right beside the airport, there's no reason for this to happen.
GFY: Does anyone else get checks from Paxum? Have they arrived okay?
