No, I used to be in denial and call myself agnostic... but I realized I am agnostic towards the bronze age sky gods about the same way as I am agnostic towards ancient Greek and Roman gods... obviously it is not possible for me to prove that these things don't exist, but there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever that they do exist, so obviously I am an atheist. I think worshiping the sun is a lot more reasonable than thinking some crazy cults from the bronze age understood the world more than we do today.
Most adults who pretend to believe that the bible or koran have anything to do with reality are just sort of simple people who are scared of the world and need to have something they can understand to help them hide from the big scary world. Something is always scaring these people; science, people who look different, gays, the sun, whatever.
People who honestly believe the bible/koran/sun gods/whatever are real have a mental disorder, and I suppose have just evolved less than the rest of us. They should probably just be sterilized and institutionalized, because they really fuck things up for those of us who base our lives on reason, especially in a one person one vote society. You should either be allowed to vote or go to church, not both. How can you pretend you should have a say in how the world is run, when you don't really believe in the world?
