I have noticed a large uptick in men with rubber necks in the past 10 years... For instance...
Go back 30 years ago...
Me and a 13 year old girl are walking to middle school. Pretty much nobody driving by is rubber necking her. If they are, they are hiding it behind sunglasses or using the rear view mirror.
GO back 10 years ago...
Me and my daughter who is 13 years old are walking to her middle school. Some occasional rubber necking. Not super creepy yet.
Today...
Walking my niece to middle school. 8 out of 10 men in cars driving by rubber neck. Guys with sunglasses on actually pull them down on their nose for a better look. She informs me that when it is just her and a friend or two her age many guys whistle, some will slow down and cruise along side asking for their numbers. When they inform them that they are only 13 years old the guys tell them its fine with them, just give me your number...
I would confidently go on record attributing this uptick to the porn that is being produced. Sure, it is what the customer wants, but is it sane to make it?
