There are plenty of good points you can make, but why insist on using one that isn't real? The sign was in honor of the mission of that carrier group, which WAS accomplished, and in the speech he never said things were over, he said that major ground operations had ended, and that the war would enter a new phase.
There are so many things you can say that the republcans did wrong, so why use the crude twisting of events to make your point, instead of picking something real?
