Personally I have two dogs. One is "edgy" and I have a risk of him biting people - small bite, but still.

15 years ago I put down my dog for biting - a Cocker Spaniel, sweet as sweet can be - but turned aggressive as he was getting older. It was the right thing to do. Unfortunately there are TONS of dogs out there that should be put to sleep as well, but the owners either does not have the guts or the intellect to do so.
