The big problem with the Pitbull breed is that it attracts douchebag tough-guy owners. The dog is already pre-disposed to kill, but you multiply that with a likely bad upbringing, and guess what happens next....
I know a couple of pitbulls that are pretty sweet dogs, but their owners are sweethearts also. They play with my Lab sometimes, and nothing bad ever happens.
But there's also a guy in my neighborhood that walks around with his roid muscles and tats, and his freaky looking pitbull with a prong collar(on the wrong way). He snaps and barks at everything, and the owner actually seems proud of this.
