The USA might not be the internet but it's home to most pornography online and it's the most powerful and influential country in the world. So, the fact that this will never ever happen notwithstanding...
- Out of those 100+ countries most can be written off immediately since they either prohibit pornography themselves or have no useful internet infrastructure.
- Nobody in the world would be able to host outside of .XXX on a US server.
- Nobody based in the US would be able to host outside of .XXX on any server.
- The US would probably pressure 'weaker' nations to bring in similar laws to put porn behind .XXX, just like countries around the world upped the minimum age for porn performers from 16 to 18 in the last decade or so.
- The US could employ methods to block foreign sites that do not conform to .XXX, ban Americans from signing up to non-XXX sites abroad and/or ban American companies from providing billing solutions to non-XXX sites abroad, thus encouraging foreign sites to go .XXX rather than lose a huge market.
- Etc.
