I live in, what is statistically, the UK's most deprived City.
Highest unemployment rates in the country, Bottom of the table for exam results. Highest percentage of underage pregnancies, fastest falling employment figures.
One of the housing estates has the highest poverty rate PPls than anywhere in Europe. My City has even been crowned the winner of the channel 4s Crap towns and has been voted the worst place in the country to live 2years in a row.
Ok 35% of the shops in our city center have shut down and are boarded up but guess what No Rioting.
A lot of People are poor here but you can walk the streets without getting shot stabbed mugged...
we have one of the lowest stabbing incident rates of any major city in the UK and we don't have a gun culture. So whats different here compared to London?
