Zakynthos rocks
heh, I went there over easter once, and suddenly one day found signs from all over the island all propped in the town square. Roadsigns, rooms for rent signs, beware of the dog signs, no nude bathing on this beach signs, you name it. Most puzzled, I start asking everyone what this was all about, and it turns out that it's an island custom...every single easter, people collect signs from all over the place and park them in the town square. I kept trying to find out what the origin of this oddness was, and got various explanations, which, with the help of my dictionary, all translated as "custom"
