no reason to cry about fuel millage standards.. it IS achievable with and without hybrid systems.

Even a simple 4 cylinder 2 liter engine can produce those results and better with engineering and ingenuity. There are many technological advancements and discoveries lately that prove it. Higher rpm's with shorter strokes and higher compression ratios can produce a lot of HP with minimal fuel consumption already. They can expand on it and will have to. Period.

Gone are the days of excuses and whatnot over fuel mileage. British engineering has proven it, Australian engineers have discovered ways to have moving heads to aid in compression and recovery of usable energy during combustion and diesel is a viable solution for American built passenger vehicles too..

Enough excuses already.
