Raising the debt limit for me was not the issue because we've missed many actual deadlines in the past by months and nothing happened. As mentioned, this was just a spin by the President using fear and uncertainty to push his own political gains or reelection.

Telling the American public via the Fed chair, press secretary, and himself that all hell will break lose in the markets and people won't get their SSI if a deal was not arranged by Today. It didn't.

In short, he lied and took a gamble and lost miserably because the presidents only job in this issue is to sign the bill or not, regardless if it's on time or not. This tells me he does not have the ability to lead correctly when his delivery method is fear and uncertainty in a scared market that had ZERO purpose other then his own political gains.

Fuck him - he just lost my vote.
