personally if it were up to me I would do the lazy laid back catfishing thing. But last time I did it wasn't so lazy or laid back. My 7 year old hadn't caught a thing and the other two kids had pulled 6 or 7 each out in about an hour. He was so upset but he finally hooked a fish (suspect it was a catfish) he started reeling it in on his 15 lb. test line and got it about 5 feet from the boat and it broke the line. He started crying so I started watching the water for his lost bobber (which was the size of a friggin baseball - he picked it out) I finally saw his bobber about an hour later (damn fish had kept it under that long) so being the good mommy I am I dove into the water and swam over to grab the bobber. I got within about a foot of it and the damn fish took the bobber and went under again and stayed under about an hour and a half til we spotted it again. I tried to swim after it again but to no avail. So, he caught a couple more and was happy and i'm never chasing a damn fish again. It must have been pretty good size to keep that size bobber underwater so long. Damn Oklahoma catfish get big enough to swallow a person so I don't think I wanna try to grab one like that again.
