This is my experience of selling content.
If the price is right a lot of buyers will send money up front to anyone.
Screw the prices most established people want to produce the content, there are people who will send money anywhere to anyone without going into the identity of the seller. Because the price was right.
If you've been on the boards for long you will of seen the scams.
Not saying that's what happened here, but a seller linking to a clip on C4S, mail drop and no name?????
