Not only is the guy a sociopath, but an absolute idiot. He could have only had a 2 year sentence, but he turned down a plea deal. This from another article:
"Barry Ardolf appeared in federal court in St. Paul on charges of aggravated identity theft and making threats to the life of the President of the United States and his successors.
Ardolf was offered a plea deal of two years, but turned it down. Now, he is facing a minimum of seven years in prison if convicted."
