I've been saying this all along, it's our national thing to be tough. You can get beat up by a gay protestors who are protesting for tolerance towards them. Now imagine giving democracy to people like that. That's why Russia only works well under dictatorship or semi-dictatorship.
To be fair, Democracy doesn't work anywhere tho.
