That's what I'm thinking.
Adrenaline can make you do some shit, and there is nothing wrong with making sure they were dead. Pumping more lead into them would be one of those methods.
Personally, I feel if you can catch someone on your property, you should be able to kill them as much as you'd like until the police get there. Then they take the body away and that's that.
Where I live the police actually tell you if someone comes in to make sure they are dead. You get into less trouble if they are dead and on your property (or in the road). It's common for road accidents (car + bike) to have the car back over the bike person, sometimes a few times, to make sure they are dead. Costs less. 80% chance the ambulance staff will steal their organs if they live anyway, so they are fucked either way. Go figure.
