You gotta be careful fishing for Spanish. They look nearly identical to summer (juvenile) Kings, and the only real way to tell them apart is the lateral line (The lateral line on Spanish is nearly straight, while Kings have a sharp dip mid-body). Since Spanish generally have a higher catch limit than Kings (the last I checked it was 9:3/per person on the boat), if you catch your limit for Spanish and they turn out to be King's you can get hit with a substantial fine - $5K per fish if memory serves.

Weather permitting, I prefer going further out and getting into the Dolphin, Wahoo, Tuna and the opportunity for Marlin as well.
