The plastic surgeon did them because of the cut location, on the face. The wound was pretty nasty. If I remember correct it took 8-9 internal stitches and then a bunch on the outside. He's lucky the surgeon was on duty that night. He said he needed to log some hours to keep his hospital credentials. haha
