You could actually ask them and if they said yes, it is acceptable (as I assume they might) then you would have a statement from them that you could back up your statements with.

Your questions are ones I would ask any attorney just to make sure your business is being set up correctly. An attorney would not only expect the questions he would gladly explain the details.
However a con artist can't stand any scrutiny so instead he turns the conversation around and starts to criticize you.
