I had a roommate that was paranoid schizophrenic and I knew another guy in which I now believe is borderline paranoid schizophrenic. It's often hard to "know" unless you spend a lot of time with that person or if you are present during a "breakdown" or whatever it may be called. As an outsider, it's totally bizarre watching everything happen and only makes sense after the fact.
