That's the way to do it. I got an email from the same service on behalf of eBay and I ignored it. Never heard from them again. I only answer such demands via registered/certified snail mail.
As for the Flickr situation, he's not going to win that one. Not only is he using the trademarked term Flickr but he's also using it in relations to photos.
