this is right,
if you look at the archive of pornhub, all the first few videos are/were short (i.e. 1 minute) videos (which was very long at the time)
but these were obviously uploaded by the owners, i.e. (wait till it gets some decent traffic then we'll add some longer ones - as it was climbing up the serps for "porn" for a while) its impossible that every uploader would only upload 1 minute videos

Then answer me this... so they launched a tube site with no videos and the first couple surfers to hit a site with no videos, helped them out and went out and stole a bunch of content and uploaded it to pornhub for them.
Day 1: site empty
Day 2: first surfer hits empty site, and instead of leaving "he" uploads tons of content...
suuurrrrreee. I believe that. All of that stolen content that was on these sites from the very first couple days, that wasn't the site owners filling it up with content so they could launch that was the first couple surfers hitting the site and felt sorry for them because they didn't have any videos up so they helped them out.
