You clearly keep ignoring the biggest factor that got him suspended. I've posted it before, but look up rule 48.

Here is what should have happened: http://youtu.be/79M3sRWclA4?t=13s Higgins was looking roughly the same left direction as Horton. Seidenberg comes in, shoulder down, hits him in the chest, and the downward motion of the check forces him to lose his balance.

Rome stops, bends his knees and launches himself into Horton's head.

Which one is the right way to hit, which one is the wrong? I'll give you a hint. One guy nearly got his head taken off on one play.

It doesn't matter whether the hit was dirty or not - that's irrelevant. If Horton kept his head up and was aware of his surroundings, he would still be in the series.
Actually, it very much matters if it's a dirty hit. If it wasn't a dirty hit, Horton would still be playing. Your rational is like someone getting t-boned by a drunk driver running a red light clearly breaking the law and trying to blame the now paralyzed victim by saying if he slowed down and looked both ways before crossing a green light, he'd still be walking.

That's bullshit to me, and it's shocking people like you actually exist to try to justify it.

Aww man, if Nick Adenhart was not driving with 2 other people that night, he probably would have been more focused on the road and still alive! Sure, he had the right away and everything (like Horton - not having the puck).. but back in my day, people used to drink and drive all the time and knew to look both ways before crossing busy intersections because of that!
