If it's submit and forget you probably want to go html if you have some decent templates made up already and understand basic SEO. Leaving wordpress sit un-updated can get you hacked one day. But scheduling posts in advance is cool with wordpress to give the site a little action over time. You just want to remember to log in occasionally to keep it updated. This assuming you're doing multiple installs.
If they're something you want to have update content on regularly, go wordpress. Its easier for me to use wordpress admin for updates than cut and paste html code on a custom designed html site with no backend. Spend some time finding the right themes, try for the same themes from one designer or company as any customizations you want to make to the themes will be easier as they all tend to code the same, assuming you want to make changes to have it better suit your needs and if it's adult sites there really arent a lot of WP themes that work well off the shelf, they all need some minor tweaking.
Also, with wordpress best advice in customizing is KISS. The more plugins you become dependant on the more chances of a plugin not being updated and working with the current version of wordpress in time. If a sites functionality is based around a single plugin that could lead to a bunch of problems and time wasted fixing them.
Just some amateur advice, good luck.
