i'm surprised there aren't many more defamation lawsuits over what's posted on internet forums.
in slander/libel lawsuits the onus is on the defendant to prove what they've said or written is true or in the case of it not being true that there was no malice. a defamation suit i'm sure has a different burden of proof, probably an easier burden of proof for the plaintiff and why this isn't a libel suit.
