Hahaha, yeah but the problem is that 90% of English speaking web surfers use it and they will use it.
It doesn't matter for Facebook that there is 1 or 2 percent of enlighten people who value their privacy and who know how stuff works and who owns Facebook.
As for the statement that Google doesn't know its surfers or webmasters

Google knows very well its users perhaps even better than Facebook. People don't write their sexual deviation on Facebook, people don't share all personal details on Facebook. However people feel very secured doing such personal search on Google.
They also feel very safe using Gmail as their personal email box. Their searches and their mail possibly hold much more very sensitive personal information. Just think about it for a second.
