That would require a really long, technical response on my part... You're asking a vague question. When it comes to SMS messages, it's just like email marketing, there are a ton of regulations and whatnot that you have to follow when doing so... but in the mainstream world mobile submits have been huge for a long time... things like ringtones, horoscopes, etc and now dating are hot area of marketing. The link Agent488 posted under you goes into good detail on those rules.
It's just like anything else, the affiliates that have the traffic and can follow the rules and target the people interested in being marketed via their cell phones are making bank... simple as that really.
And like I said, you see how big mobile porn is now. The next step in that equation is marketing via SMS messages and the like.

I figured someone might question me on whether some of these are real or not... but I really have no reason to risk the great reputation we have by posting fake stats. Just because you read about people going under on GFY 24/7 doesn't mean there aren't a host of other people still making a killing. Like I said, it just takes work and most people give up way before they taste success.
