Do you know if he plays video games like witcher one or the multiplayer ones like world of warcraft, etc. There are some factors to think about. Some people only liek sports games while others like shooting or fighting etc. Also how good is the computer if hes using one. If his computer isnt great, he wont be able to play certain things.

You could try to be sneaky and tell him you have some free time etc. You see him have fun playing games what does he reccomend thats new, what kind of stuff does he like or what does he play on for research.
