Takes about 15-30 seconds to apply whois privacy - Your name/address is removed, but still in the domain's whois history.
so to be smart we should put fake registration in when registering the domain, then put privacy on it, the privacy whois satisfies the icann requirements since the contact info is legit to the registrar and email can still get through
