I have two sons both of which are at the age that it would not be inappropriate for them to have sex.
I would not take them to a pro. I do not want them to form a view of women that they are sperm depositories and nothing more. If they want to go to one I would hope it would be later in life when their spouses or girlfriends are refusing to blow them
as for allowing them to make mistakes... when I give advice to my boys I get the nod of a head, agreement that it is good advice and then they proceed to fuck it all up on their own... then they come back and admit I was right. Now matter what the subject this scenario plays itself out. The men in my family line appear to be somewhat stubborn to their own detriment *sigh* oh well
